Ook is de stad op de werelderfgoedlijst geplaatst wat de stad ook bekendheid gaf. Ze zijn zelfs de derde monumentale plaats van Europa. C\u00e1ceres is de hoofdstad van de gelijknamige provincie. De stad kent lekkere warme zomers en milde winters. In deze stad zijn veel rassen en culturen langsgekomen in de geschiedenis en daar zijn nog sporen van te vinden. Er zijn bijvoorbeeld oude muurschilderingen gevonden. Ook zijn er kathedralen, kerken en paleizen te vinden die daar gebouwd zijn door verschillende culturen. Deze stad ligt een beetje in het binnenland van Spanje, dus hier is geen strand te vinden, want bij veel belangrijke en grote steden in Spanje wel het geval is.<\/p>\n<p>Het stadscentrum is ommuurt door stadsmuren. Deze muren zijn door de Moren neergezet, maar er zijn ook Romeinse invloeden te vinden. Bijna alles is binnen die muren te bekijken. Er zijn verschillende paleizen die alleen van de buitenkant te bewonderen zijn. Het centrum is autovrij, dus je moet buiten het centrum parkeren. Grappig is dat er weinig bewoners zijn in het centrum, maar dat gebouwen, woningen en paleizen meer zakelijk in gebruik zijn. Dit ligt vlakbij Plaza Major. Dit is het hoofdplein van C\u00e1ceres. Dit plein verleend ook de toegang tot de bovenstad. Aan dit plein staat ook de toren van Bujaco van waar je een prachtig uitzicht hebt. In de oude binnenstad heb je Plaza de Santa Maria waar je verschillende paleizen hebt. Aan dit plein staat ook de grootste en de belangrijkste kerk van C\u00e1ceres. Deze heet de Concatedral de Santa Maria de C\u00e1ceres. Deze is geheel gebouwd van graniet! Erg mooi om eens een kijkje te nemen! Aan Plaza de Santa Maria staat ook Palacio de Los Golfines de Arriba. Dit is een paleis uit de 15<sup>e<\/sup> eeuw vernoemd naar een vooraanstaande familie. Hier benoemde Franco zichzelf tot staatshoofd. Ook heb je er Plaza de San Jorge. Hier heb je een kerk, wat toeristische winkels en er ook een paleis. De kerk heet Iglesia de San Francisco de Javier en is een jezu\u00efetenkerk. In de provincie C\u00e1ceres is ook het natuurpark van Monfrag\u00fce en het groene dal, La Vera te vinden. Deze liggen bij de rivieren de Taag en de Ti\u00e9tar. Er zijn prachtige landschappen, bergen en natuurgebieden te vinden in C\u00e1ceres.
