Het is de hoofdstad van Lanzarote en tevens ook de grootste stad op het eiland. Arrecife is een bijzondere plaats. Er wordt geleefd en gewerkt en intussen is het ook een toeristische stad. Het is een bijzondere stad wat betreft de uiterlijke kenmerken. Je kunt er allerlei vormen, kleuren en hoogtes vinden en dat maakt het zo bijzonder. De belangrijkste haven van Lanzarote ligt hier vindt alle in \u2013 en uitvoer plaats. Ook wordt de haven natuurlijk gebruikt voor plezier, vervoer en vissen. Een leuk detail is dat bij de haven oude mannetje vindt die domino spelen van \u2019s ochtends tot \u2019s avonds. Tegen de avond komt er wijn bij kijken en wordt het op een leuke manier wat luidruchtiger!<\/p>\n<p>Ook is er een strand te vinden in Arrecife, Dus ook hier kun je genieten van de zon en het strand.<\/p>\n<p>In de stad is een plein te vinden: La Recova, waar vroeger stadsmarkt werd gehouden. Tegenwoordig worden er geen kippen en varkens en dergelijke meer verkocht. Nu zijn er wat kraampjes te vinden en verkopen wat kunstenaars hun kunstwerken en op zaterdag is er een tweedehands markt van 11 tot 15 uur. Er is wel een grote markt te vinden op het plein Parque Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00edrez Cerd\u00e1 \u2019s woensdags van 9 tot 14 uur. En \u2019s zaterdags is er een markt rond de kerk met lokale producten van 10 tot 13 uur. Genoeg markten dus om even rond te kijken. En als je dan toch de markt rond de kerk bezoekt loop dan ook even de kerk binnen!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-24837 aligncenter lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.clubvillamar.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/La-Recova.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"703\" height=\"427\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 703px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 703\/427;\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-24837 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clubvillamar.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/La-Recova.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"703\" height=\"427\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>Er is een kasteel met een museum erin, Castillo de San Jos\u00e9, te vinden in Arrecife. Je kunt er gratis parkeren en het zeker een aanrader om daar even te gaan kijken als je in Arrecife bent. Parkeren is trouwens een drama in Arrecife. Je moet ook goed opletten, want soms denk je eindelijk een plekje te hebben en dan mag je daar als toerist niet parkeren. Je kunt het beste je auto in een parkeergarage zetten. Dan moet je wel betalen, maar je weet in ieder geval zeker dat een goed plekje hebt. Ook is er een Castillo de San Gabriel. Dat is een ford wat vroeger gebouwd is als verdediging tegen de piraten. Ook hier is tegenwoordig een museum.<\/p>\n<p>Je moet zeker een keer een dag gaan shoppen in Calle Leon y Castillo. Dit is DE winkelstraat van Arrecife en het is er gezellig!!! Het is er autovrij en er zijn veel terrasjes wat het er zo gezellig maakt. Ook zijn er natuurlijk allerlei winkels te vinden.<\/p>\n<p>Er is een 5 sterren hotel wat behoorlijk opvalt! Het is een beetje het kenmerk van de stad geworden.
